Bunker tanker sank off Bangkok, oil leak
Tanker GOLDEN BRIDGE 2 sank in the morning Dec 3 in Gulf of Siam off Chao Praya river estuary, just south of Bangkok. The ship isn t registered in known databases, identified by local media, referring to officials, as a tanker, most probably bunker tanker. At the time of an accident she had some 100 tons of bunker fuel on board, cause of sinking unclear - sudden and massive aft water ingress was mentioned.

Titan LNG to Launch Tender for 8,000 cbm Bunker Barge
Dutch LNG supplier Titan LNG has contracted Fearnleys AS, a Norwegian shipbroker, to run the tender process for a newbuild LNG bunker barge.
To be named Titan Hyperion, the newbuilding will be the third barge that Titan LNG will operate.
Powered by liquefied natural gas, the barge will carry 8,000 cubic meters of cargo to service LNG-fueled ships and will be operational in 2021.
According to the company, the new barge will address the fast-growing market segment of larger ocean-going LNG-powered vessels calling the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region.
The barge will measure 135 meters in length and 19 meters in width and will be among the larger inland waterway barges trading in the ARA region.
The technical and economic feasibility assessment has been finalized by the Titan LNG newbuilding team, the company said.
"In the design, we have incorporated four years of lessons learned from LNG bunkering, including the FlexFueler barges and the largest LNG bunkering transfers using small scale LNG carriers in the world," Ronald van Selm, CTO Titan LNG, explained.
"Our design will enable Titan LNG to … deliver larger parcels of the cleanest marine fuel. The Titan Hyperion will be ideal for servicing large tankers, cruise, container and offshore vessels."
On top of carrying out larger bunker operations, the barge will also serve as the mother ship to fill the FlexFuelers.

Petredec Adds Two More Ethylene Carriers at Jiangnan Shipyard
Petredec Holdings (Eastern) has exercised its option for the construction of two additional 22,000 cbm ethylene carriers with Jiangnan Shipyard, bringing its newbuild tally to four units.
The contract was signed at Marintec Shanghai on December 3, 2019, during the ceremony for the merger of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) and China Shipbuilding Industry Corp (CSIC) under the CSSC banner.
The first two construction contracts for this type of ship were signed and entered into force on August 21, 2019. The first two newbuilds are scheduled to be delivered in 2021, followed by the second newbuild batch in May and September 2022.
As explained by Petredec Chief Executive Giles Fearn, the order builds upon the company s long-term relationship with Jiangnan Shipyard, which dates back to 2007. During this time the company ordered a total of 16 LPG/Ethylene vessels at the yard.
"We are also very much looking forward to the imminent delivery of four scrubber-equipped 84,000 cbm VLGC s, three of which are due in the first week of January and one in February 2020, which coincides perfectly with the implementation of the new IMO 2020 rules," he added.
Jiangnan Shipyard said that this type of ship entered the British Lloyd’s Register, following the design concept of "high efficiency, environmental protection and safety". It is an optimized and upgraded version of the Lusitano series (Jiangnan 22K / 21K LEG / LPGC).
After the R & D team optimized the layout and line type matching, the cubic capacity increased by 1,000 cubic meters on the basis of the original 21,000 cubic meters ethylene carrier. This type of ship uses conventional fuel to meet EEDI2 and at the same time meet the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission requirements and the new IGC Code standards."
Petredec moves over 10 million tonnes of LPG (liquefied propane and butane) annually on a fleet of over 60 Owned and Chartered LPG Vessels.
