Cargo ship disabled, replaced by another to service French Saint Pierre and Miquelon
Ro-ro cargo ship NOLHANAVA was immobilized by a mechanical failure at Halifax, Canada, and can t provide cargo services to French archipelago Saint Pierre and Miquelon, south of Newfoundland. General cargo ship ATLANTIC POWER (IMO 9163025, dwt 17451) replaced NOLHANAVA and as of Feb 7 she was under way in the Atlantic, heading for archipelago. NOLHANAVA meanwhile, remained stuck ay Halifax, waiting for spare parts to be delivered from Germany.

Russian freighter critically unstable for almost a week at Ulsan
Russian general cargo ship CONFIDENT is still in danger of capsizing, almost a week after she was towed to Ulsan with heavy starboard side list, caused by shifted cargo of timber on cargo deck, on Feb 1-2. Latest reports said the ship listed portside some 20 degrees, that sharp listing from starboard side to portside meaning the ship is critically unstable. As of Feb 7, salvage is still under way, salvors trying to stabilize CONFIDENT and avoid capsizing.

Hijacked tanker MARINE EXPRESS released, what next?
Product tanker MARINE EXPRESS, which was missing since Feb 1, presumably hijack by pirates, was released on Feb 6, confirmed it was hijack. According to operator Anglo-Eastern Shipping Company, HK, all 22 crew are safe, cargo of 13,500 tons of gasoline intact.
