Southeast Asia Shipping is a corporation organized under the laws of the
Republic of the Philippines. It was established on July 29, 1982 and
registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission principally to
operate as a crewing/manning agent. It was issued a recruitment license by
the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
The company commenced recruitment activities by supplying seafarers to
Japanese ship owners on their general cargo vessels in the Far East route.
From its modest beginning, the company expanded its network of satisfied
clients and in 1985, it was appointed the exclusive manning agent of a
Saudi-British company which handled the off-shore and port operations at
the King Fahad Industrial Ports of Dammam
