hi friends, some companies often mislead about ship's condition,age, near future drydock or any detention, if any, to the joining staff.
it will be a great help if somebody can tell the website where ship's particulars and other information can be searched before joining the vessel. thak you

hi there well here is the reply to ur querry as you are aware that all port state control have a database earlier it was accesible only to shipping
companies charters etc but now its public u have to gio the site of any member state under a particular memorandum and ull get tht info u require

register and u will know the history of the vessel, class status, psc inspection etc.
NEVER trust the owner or manning.

my friend try paris mou:tokyo mou:black sea mou etc type this as key wordson google. IACS key word will be of some help if u know some other details of ship. If uare going on a tanker go to a website caleed Q88.com: take a free trial for 15 days & all the ship details will be there.Sometimes typing the ship name also gets u a direst hit or else u can log onto company's website-USCG-AMSA-MCA etc web sites & u might be able to learn about some detentions of the ship. Try ais Live on Indian mariner .com if u ur ship is in the ais covered area listed there. Hope it helps. Good luck Capt Mohit Mehrotra |

Hello everyone and greetings Sirs,
I am 3A/E working with NYK Shipmanagement, in a roro vessel. Please tell me how to go about in an LNG Carrier in the same company as i want to also persue my steam ticket. And is it possible to work on an oil tanker to appear for MOT Steam Class IV?
