Hi All Engineers,
As the currently the burning problem for all of us  is the "Oil Pollution problem"  Please post your experiences with various types of OWS equipment , with regard to problems faced, what may be the solution.
Please keep out any personnal references and personnal wrongs or rights, as this is not in any of our interest.
Our main interest is to use this forum to share our bad / good expericene with different equipments.

Thanks

Further to the above watch out the OWS systems. Almost all the OWS designed to filter out the oil from bilge water. Unfortunatly most of these equipment cannot filter the dirt such as rust, carbon,  or any marine growth, shells or just the paint scrappings. All of these shown as oil and the bilge water cannot be pumped out.  So we need to have a good pre OWS filtering system to get the best results from the OWS.

But again unfortunately have not found any such filtering systems onboard majority of the ships.
