The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI) a "Navratna" Public Sector Company, is the biggest Indian shipping company owning and operating a young and diversified fleet comprising of tankers, dry bulk carriers, cellular container vessels, LNG carriers, specialized vessels, offshore vessels, passenger vessels.
SCI also undertakes manning and operation of various types of vessels owned by Government agencies like ONGC, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Ministry of Steel and Mines (Geological Survey of India) Ministry of Earth Sciences and Directorate of Lighthouses and lightships.
