India: Govt to focus on creating port grid, says Mandaviya.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday said the government will focus on creating a port grid in the country besides development of waterways and coastal shipping.
Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Mandaviya said that 1,400 kilometres of waterways have been fully developed and an additional 1,000 kilometres of waterways are being developed on a priority basis.Posted On:13-Nov-2020

CMA CGM Tenere carries out the first LNG bunkering.
Rotterdam h Rotterdam hosted CMA CGM s Tenere, as it carried out the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering of its 15,000 TEU vessel.
Tenere is a part of CMA CGM s LNG fleet, which also consists of 5 other vessels.

Panamax bulk carrier grounding, Spain
Bulk carrier CAPTAINJ NEOFOTISTOS loaded with grain at around midday Nov 11 ran aground while entering Huelva Channel, Spain, on arrival from Brazil. Port tugs swiftly responded, the ship was refloated in a short time, probably less than an hour, taken to port and berthed. No news on damages. General cargo ship on fire, crew evacuated, Greece
Fire erupted in living quarters of general cargo ship OSCAR I in the afternoon Nov 11, and reportedly, spread further in superstructure, when she was ballasting in Greek waters near Elafonisos islet, southernmost Peloponnese peninsula, en route from Libya to Badalan Turkey.
