Flettner Rotor-Fitted Ultramax Wins Ship of the Year Award The MV Afros, an Ultramax bulk carrier fitted with Anemoi s Flettner Rotor system, has been named Ship of the Year at the Lloyd s List Greek Shipping Awards 2018.

Report: Suitors Launch Their Bidding for Long Beach Container Terminal COSCO Shipping Holdings sale of the Long Beach Container Terminal (LBCT) has reportedly sparked interest from U.S. private equity firm Blackstone Group LP and compatriot private investment company KKR & Co., Bloomberg reported.

India: Buoyed by coal, major ports see 5% rise in traffic volumes in Apr-November A spurt in coal traffic ramped up cargo volumes at major ports during April-November this fiscal. Thermal or steam coal shipments in the period were up 20.92 per cent. Coking coal, too, recorded a firm growth of 15.44 per cent.
Overall cargo traffic at major ports rose 4.83 per cent in this period. In terms of overall cargo shipments, Kamarajar (Ennore) port was the biggest gainer, logging sharp rise of 20.15 per cent.Posted On:14-Dec-2018
