2 crew in coma medevaced from Taiwanese freighter Two crew members of Taiwanese general cargo ship WISE SW were medevaced in Vietnam waters after the ship requested urgent medical assistance at night Jan 12. WISE SW was under way off Vung Tau, medevac was coordinated by Vietnam MRCC, badly wounded sailors, both said to be in coma, were transferred to hospital. Details weren t revealed, it isn t known yet, what kind of accident injured two crew that bad. Vietnamese vessel sank in South China sea, 11 rescued 2 missing Vietnamese fishing vessel with 13 crew sank in South China sea in vicinity 02 04N 104 39E (some 55 nm northeast of Singapore Strait) during the night Jan 12, vessel started to sink, or reported sinking, at 2330 Vietnam tine Jan 11. One fisherman, floating in sea, was rescued by Malta-flagged container ship NORDLILY (IMO 9744685) in the afternoon Jan 12; container ship ASIATIC DAWN (IMO 9322877) rescued eight fishermen some two hours later, some 10 nm south of sinking site; while bulk carrier MG NEPTUNE (IMO 9790919) rescued two more fishermen.
