India: IPA joins international port community systems body. The country's major ports apex body Indian Ports Association (IPA) has become the latest member of the International Port Community Systems Association (IPCSA), a release said on Tuesday.

Cargo ship collided with fishing boat off Yeosu, Korea. General cargo ship WIN HERO collided with 5-ton fishing boat off Yeosu, South Korea, at around 0400 Seoul time Oct 13, understood collision was caused by irresponsible fishing boat sailing. Fire in tanker engine room, Argentina. Fire erupted in engine room of tanker DI GIUNTA E at Campana, Parana Delta, Argentina, on Oct 12. Tanker is understood to be in process of total overhaul. Fire was extinguished by teams of fire protection service by foam, and after that, engine room was thoroughly checked for possible smoldering spots, and cooled. Indian Cruise Line Suspends Operations; Appeals for Crew Welfare. India's first dedicated cruise line operating a large cruise ship announced that it is discontinuing operations. Jalesh Cruises, which had been struggling financially since the suspension of cruises, cited the impact of the pandemic and uncertainty over when cruising would resume.
