EPIK Selects Financial Adviser for Newcastle FSRU Project
LNG project development company EPIK has chosen Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) to serve as financial adviser for its Newcastle GasDock LNG import terminal.

Stena Line to Fit Five More Ships with AI Technology
Swedish ferry company Stena Line has proven that its pilot project using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to predict the most fuel-efficient way to operate a vessel is saving fuel on the company s ships.
Stena Line started the AI technology pilot project onboard the Stena Scandinavica on the Gothenburg - Kiel route in 2018. The results show that the project enabled the captain and crew to save 2-3% fuel per trip with AI assistance.Posted On:6-Nov-2019

Maersk to Pilot Battery System on 4,500 TEU Boxship
Danish shipping giant Maersk will install a containerized 600 kWh marine battery system on board the 4,500 TEU Maersk Cape Town in December 2019 to improve vessel performance and reliability while reducing CO2 emissions.
"This trial will provide a greater understanding of energy storage that will support Maersk in moving towards further electrification of its fleet and port terminals. Inland container ship breached in collision in Netherlands, water ingress
Inland container ship MSC MAAS collided with inland tanker LAZIO in the evening Nov 5 on river Noord near Alblasserdam, western Netherlands, and was breached in the collision, with ensuing water ingress. The ship was taken to berth and offloaded, so that the breach surfaced, and water ingress stopped. Tanker was in ballast and understood, sustained slight damages. Oman s Sohar Port sees potential for 3.5GW of solar capacity

Cargo ship and tanker collided in Jeju Strait
General cargo ship TENG SHENG collided with Chinese 3,000-ton tanker at around 2000 Seoul time Nov 4 in Jeju Strait, Korea, some 4 nm SE of Soan-do island.
