Ferry disabled in rough weather, taken on tow, Iceland Ferry BALDUR, serving the line between Stykkisholmur and Breidafjordur ports in Breidafjordur Bay, western Iceland, broke down in the morning Mar 11 while en route to Stykkisholmur, and started to drifti in western direction in rough weather conditions. Barendrecht, The Netherlands, March 12, 2021 - De Poli Shipmanagement report that following an attack by pirates in the Gulf of Guinea, West Africa fifteen crewmembers have been taken from its chemical tanker DAVIDE B. Iranian Ship Damaged in Attack in Mediterranean, IRISL Says An Iranian container ship was damaged in an attack in the Mediterranean, the state-run shipping company said on Friday, adding it would take legal action to identify the perpetrators of what it called terrorism and naval piracy.

MSC Cruises ship catches fire while docked in Greek port; no injuries among skeleton crew MSC Lirica, an MSC Cruises ship, caught fire on Friday in Corfu, Greece, Luca Biondolillo, spokesperson for the cruise line, confirmed to USA TODAY.
"Today at 15:42 (3:42 pm) local time in Corfu where she is currently in warm layup, MSC Lirica reported a fire incident into the MSC Maritime Support Centre in London," MSC said in a statement provided by Biondolillo.
