Canadian trawler ATLANTIC DESTINY with 31 crew is on fire some 200 nm SSW of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, since Mar 2. Trawler issued distress signal at 2000 LT Mar 2, reporting fire on board. On Wednesday a Chinese fishing vessel sank in disputed water near Japan. As a result of this incident, 5 persons went missing prompting a search operation by the Japanese coast guard.
