Tullow Oil: 58 Workers Test Positive for COVID-19 on FPSO Off Ghana
Fifty-eight workers tested positive for COVID-19 at an oil production facility run by Tullow Oil off Ghana’s Atlantic coast, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Fifty-seven workers tested positive on a support vessel for a floating production and storage (FPSO) tanker. Another worker tested positive on the FPSO itself, but production remains unaffected, the company said.Posted On:1-Jun-2020

APL England Master Charged Over Loss of Containers Off Sydney
Australian authorities have brought charges against the master of the APL England, which lost about 50 containers overboard off Sydney on Sunday.
The offenses relate to pollution and/or damage of the Australian marine environment as a result of poor cargo loading, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said.

Mission to Seafarers group provides lifeline to sailors stuck on ships in Aussie ports.
The mental health of sailors is suffering as they are forced to remain on board their ships for weeks while docked in Australian ports. Sailors are used to being stuck on ships for long periods of time, but the coronavirus pandemic has meant sailors are being quarantined on their ships instead of enjoying shore leave.
The job of looking after the sailors during these difficult times and making sure they have what they need while in floating isolation falls to volunteer organisation Mission to Seafarers.Posted On:1-Jun-2020

FPSO fire off Newfoundland.
FPSO TERRA NOVA, positioned E off Newfoundland and Labrador in the Atlantic, suffered fire on board either early May 30 or late May 29. FPSO is undergoing maintenance works with no oil or gas in her tanks. Fire understood to be minor, it was extinguished by personnel, no injures reported, extent of damages unknown. There are presently, 82 personnel on board, understood there was no evacuation.

Seafarers to Come Back Home Without Quarantine.
Seafarers who will come from the countries from the NKT list of open traffic, from tomorrow will enter Montenegro without quarantine. Acknowledging that the seafarers were already in quarantine, the NKT will consider the possibility that those coming from other countries be tested after the first week of isolation, announced on the Twitter account of the Government.

Albemarle native recognized as sailor of the year - Salisbury Post.
Chief Petty Officer Kimber Nash Dominguez, an aviation ordnanceman and native of Albemarle, was recently selected as Sailor of the Year. According to Navy officials, the SOY Program recognizes sailors who best represent the large number of superior dedicated professionals serving in a particular type of duty as assigned.

9 Indonesian Sailors working for Chinese Vessels Reach Jakarta.
Nine Indonesian sailors, who reportedly endured inhumane treatment from their masters while working for several Chinese fishing vessels, arrived in Jakarta on Friday evening (May 29) after being flown in from Incheon, South Korea.
The nine sailors received a warm welcome from Head of the Agency for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani and Indonesian Workforce Minister Ida Fauziyah. Cargo ship sank off Ningbo, 1 crew missing
Cargo ship LIAN HANG 7 ran aground some 10 nm E of Ningbo, China, East China sea, in the morning May 30, while en route from Fujian to Zhoushan. Hull was breached, the ship sank after mass water ingress, with bridge and upper bridge deck remaining above waterline.
